Why Choose Purkey Puppies
Plenty of breeders sell Goldendoodles. Here's what makes ours different — and why it matters for the next ten years of your family's life.
A Breeding Program With a Purpose
Purkey Puppies started the way most good things do — with one dog. When Jenna and Jonathan Purkey brought home their Goldendoodle, Daisy, in 2018, they watched her become endlessly patient with their oldest son Jason, who has Cerebral Palsy. Breeding began in 2020 with two goals: share that kind of dog with other families, and build a future income source that Jason can run himself one day.
That purpose shapes every decision we make. We're not a volume operation — we're three connected families (the Purkeys, the Stinnetts, and the Gentrys) raising a small number of litters across two Texas homes, in Midland and Red Oak. When you reserve with us, you're dealing directly with the people who whelped your puppy, socialized it, and will still answer your texts three years from now. You can meet all three families here.
What Sets Our Goldendoodles Apart
Health Testing You Can Verify
Our breeding moms and studs are genetically cleared and OFA certified for hips and elbows — not just "vet checked." Every puppy receives its first shot and a veterinary well-check before pickup, and goes home with its health record in hand. We publish our standards because we want you to hold us to them.
Raised Inside Our Family Homes
There are no kennels or outbuildings in our program. Puppies are whelped and raised inside our homes in Midland and Red Oak, TX, underfoot with our kids, our routines, and our daily noise. That everyday exposure is why Purkey puppies arrive confident instead of skittish.
F1B Genetics, On Purpose
We exclusively breed F1B Goldendoodles — 75% Poodle, 25% Golden Retriever — because it's the generation with the most consistently low-shedding, allergy-friendly coat. Families with allergies shouldn't have to gamble on which coat their puppy inherits.
A Head Start on Training
Every litter gets a litter-box potty-training foundation and early socialization before eight weeks. New owners consistently tell us the same thing: their Purkey puppy was easier to house-train and settle than any dog they've owned.

Questions We Think You Should Ask Any Breeder
We'd rather earn your trust than your deposit. Before you choose any program — including ours — ask to see genetic clearances and OFA certifications for both parents, ask where the puppies physically sleep, and ask what happens if your circumstances change. A good breeder will answer all three without flinching.
